Are my product photos uploaded to a server?
No. Every image is processed locally in your browser with the HTML5 canvas. Nothing is uploaded, so your unreleased product photography never leaves your device.
What does "auto-detect product" actually do?
It finds the product region inside the photo and crops to it: for transparent PNGs it uses the alpha channel, otherwise it samples the corner pixels to estimate the background and takes the bounding box of everything that differs. It is subject detection, not AI product classification — it finds where the product is so the square crop is centred and correctly padded.
Why is the Amazon output forced to a white background?
Amazon requires the main image to sit on pure white with the product filling about 85% of the frame, so the Amazon preset always pads with pure white even if you pick transparent for the others.
What if my source image is smaller than the target?
The tool upscales to hit the required pixel size and flags those results with a warning. Upscaling cannot add detail, so shoot or export a master file at least as large as your biggest target.
