How to use the Reselling Profit Calculator

  1. Enter the buy cost and sell price per unit.
  2. Add the selling platform fee % (eBay, Mercari, etc. often 10–15%).
  3. Include shipping to acquire and shipping to buyer.
  4. Enter quantity for total profit across the lot.

Worked example

Buy at $12, resell at $25 on a 13% platform with $4 shipping to the buyer. Fee is $3.25, so net is $5.75 per unit — a 23% margin. On 20 units that is $115 total.

What is Reselling Profit Calculator?

Arbitrage profit is the spread between where you buy and where you sell, minus the marketplace's cut and the shipping you pay on both ends. Thin spreads need volume to matter.

Net/unit = Sell − Buy − (Sell × Platform%) − Ship to acquire − Ship to buyer − Other

Frequently asked questions

Should I count my time?

Not in the math, but it matters. A $5 profit that took an hour of sourcing and shipping is $5/hour — scale or skip.

What if the platform takes final-value + payment fees?

Add them together into the single platform fee % for a close estimate.

How do returns affect this?

Each return can erase several wins. Track a return rate and shave it off net over time.
